WNCN promotes journalist and appoints European Parliament deputy information director
WNCN, the CBS affiliate in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, has promoted two newsroom staff members.
Journalist Deana Harley was named a statewide Capitol Reporter and Leslie Nash was promoted to deputy news director after serving as executive producer.
“During the years that Deana has worked for CBS 17, she has proven herself to be a smart, talented and enterprising journalist who knows how to find the story. When the position at the Capitol Bureau opened up, she jumped at the opportunity. His journalistic instincts along with his legal background are extremely valuable to CBS 17 News and all of our connected channels across the state,” the news director said. Derek Rowles.
Harley has worked at CBS 17 News as a reporter and anchor for the past two and a half years.
Nash has been an executive producer at CBS 17 since 2019. Before that, she was a producer and executive producer at WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi.
“I am thrilled to have Leslie as a partner, helping me oversee CBS 17 News. She is an incredible leader, an exceptional journalist and she is well respected,” Rowles said.
Harley and Nash take up their new roles on Monday, December 30.
