We Are Social promotes Rebecca Coleman to CEO, North America

Social creative agency We are social raised the American CEO Rebecca Coleman to the CEO of North America to oversee the agency’s operations in the United States and Canada.

In his expanded role, Coleman will focus on strengthening resources and cross-market operations in the New York, Los Angeles and Toronto offices, and driving growth through innovation in products and capabilities.

Coleman told ADWEEK that the agency’s U.S. offices are collaborating more with their northern neighbors. So it made sense to formalize the relationship to provide clients and team members with expanded resources across the border.

“Working together will allow us to extend some of our best U.S. offerings to Canada,” added Coleman.

Coleman has worked at We Are Social since 2022, contributing to the company’s growth in the United States. In 2023, Coleman oversaw the merger of Narrative and We Are Social US. In 2024, she led the search and integration of The Woo agency into the company. The Woo now functions as Hello, We Are Social’s boutique agency offering.

“With two successful mergers under my belt, I am ready to take on Canada. I am excited to be able to focus on our strategic vision while my US Managing Director, Dana Neujahr, and Canadian Managing Director, Coby Shuman, work together to grow our regional delivery model,” said Coleman.

Under his leadership, We Are Social has delivered projects such as WcDonald’s immersive dining experience and Adidas’ Super Bowl victory with Patrick Mahomes on the Sphere. It also has partnerships with YouTube, Universal Pictures and SharkNinja.

Prior to We Are Social, Coleman was president of Narrative, the buzz-creating wing of We Are Social, and before that he was founder and managing partner of Something Massive.

In 2024, We Are Social’s US and Canadian offices jointly won Agency of the Year at the Shorty Awards, and the agency’s work has also been recognized by the Effies, Webbys, ANA and Clios.

“Rebecca’s promotion reflects We Are Social’s rapid growth and our clients’ increasing demand for innovative, culture-driven work,” said Brett Marchand, CEO of Plus Company. “His vision and leadership will drive closer collaboration across North America, enabling our teams to deliver impactful results at scale.”

Coleman relies on the Reminders app on his iPhone to manage his work and personal life.
