If you thought they only showed up when you wanted to sleep, a Maryland man armed with a leaf blower tried to disrupt the media presence outside the alleged killer’s former school. Luigi Mangione.
WBFF journalist Shannon Lily was doing a live shot outside the Gilman School, where the man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson I was going to school, when a guy with a leaf blower started playing his leaf blower music.
“As you can hear behind me, there is definitely some hostility towards even the media covering this story,” she said before the camera cut to the leaf blower. “This leaf blower behind me told me he wouldn’t leave until we did.”
“So we’re definitely seeing some community members react, (they’re) not happy that the media is covering this story in general,” she added.
