Rings of Freedom: After revealing its Stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis on air last year, CNN anchor Sarah Sidner announced that she was cancer free. The 52-year-old’s journey to beating cancer included a double mastectomy, 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 25 rounds of radiotherapy. Trophy time: The 71st Scripps Howard Journalism Awards will air on Scripps News on Sunday, October 20 at 8 p.m. ET with anchor. Christian Bryant serving as host. Newsmax is growing: Add YouTube TV to the list of pay TV distributors where you can now find Newsmax. The conservative-leaning network announced it will now be available to subscribers to YouTube TV’s basic package, making Newsmax available in nearly 60 million homes. So far, Newsmax is carried by many major cable operators, including Directv, Xfinity, Dish, Spectrum, Cox, and Optimum.

Konnichiwa Japan: Bloomberg Media and Japan’s Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc. (TBS) are launching TBS Cross Dig with Bloomberg, a dedicated section of the TBS News Dig website. The partnership allows the financial-focused media company to offer daily selections of Bloomberg articles and videos in Japanese, as well as original reporting from TBS. This is the first collaborative product from the two companies since announcing their partnership in June.
