Squarespace returns to the Super Bowl with “a history as old as websites”

Website creation and hosting platform Square space prepares for Big game appearance #11 with the release of the trailer for “A Tale as Old as Websites”.

The company plans to air a 30-second ad between the first and second quarters of Super Bowl 59. It was developed by its in-house creative team.

A teaser features bagpipe music accompanying a newspaper boy riding his horse through a mountainous region, but instead of carrying newspapers into people’s yards, he appears to be throwing tablets.

Martin Scorsese directed Squarespace’s Super Bowl 58 Squarewhich depicts people so absorbed in their smartphones that they fail to notice an alien invasion in progress.

The company collaborated with Adam Pilote And Zendayarespectively, for its two Big Game ads preceding the Scorsese spot, and he promised that this year’s effort will “surprise and delight viewers while highlighting what Squarespace stands for: fostering creativity and entrepreneurship.”
