Revolving Door Summary: Jenna Bush Hager’s New Friends Include Scarlett Johansson and Keke Palmer

Friendly additions: Hoda KotbThe departure of the Today franchise left a big void in NBC News’ flagship morning show, particularly for its fourth hour. SO Jenna Bush Hager brings a few friends to sit alongside her and continue the good times during the renamed Today with Jenna and Friends hour until a permanent co-host is named. Actors Taraji P. Henson, Eva LongoriaAnd Kéké Palmer will be the first from Monday January 13, with the actor Michelle Buteau joining Jenna on January 16 and Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson replacement for a one-week stay on January 21.

Make moves: NBC News announced Tuesday the addition of two new correspondents: Ryan Chandlerformerly of NBC Austin affiliate KXAN-TV, and Camila Bernalformerly of CNN. Chandler will continue to be based in Texas, while Bernal will report from Los Angeles.

Pay attention to the weather: CBS News National Weather Correspondent Rob Marciano will lead a new team of meteorologists for CBS Mornings. The ABC News veteran will be joined by CBS Philadelphia. Kate Bilo And CBS/KPIX Bay Area Jessica Burch. CBS News and Stations also plans to continue working with The Weather Channel to provide weather updates for the Eye Network.

On the rise: MSNBC announced that Rebecca Kutler takes on additional responsibilities. The senior vice president of content strategy will now be in charge of MSNBC’s daytime programming. Kutler joined the network in 2022 after leaving CNN, initially overseeing MSNBC’s non-linear content, including digital, audio, film and live events.

Sports journalist: Amazon’s Prime Video is starting to put the pieces in place to broadcast NBA games this fall. On Tuesday, the streaming service announced its new studio team, which includes Taylor Tours as host and former NBA players Blake Griffin And Dirk Nowitzki as studio analysts. Rooks should already be familiar to Prime Video’s sports audience, as she is currently a reporter for the streamer’s Thursday Night Football pregame show. She is also a host and reporter for Bleacher Report and TNT Sports.
