Revolving Door Summary: CNN and CBS News Swap Talents
International hiring: CBS News announced that Anna Coren joined the network as a foreign correspondent based in Hong Kong. Coren was most recently at CNN, where she was an anchor and international correspondent. During her 17-year tenure at CNN, she covered the war in Afghanistan, protests in Hong Kong, the catastrophic bushfires in Australia and the Thai cave rescue.

Steering movements: On Thursday, CNN announced that André Roy would be the network’s new general manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and head of the London office. Roy comes to CNN from CBS News, where he was vice president of foreign news and London bureau chief. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief of CNN, Mike McCarthyRoy will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of all of the network’s EMEA offices as well as its London hub and EMEA headquarters.
CNN named award-winning journalist @AndrRoy to the key role of EMEA Managing Director and London Office Head, overseeing the network’s largest office outside the US.
Roy joins CBS and begins his new position in the spring.

The Washington Post also joins CNN, but not CBS News. Philippe Rucker. He will be senior vice president, editorial strategy and news, based in Washington, D.C., leading and shaping the network’s political coverage. as it enters its digital age. Rucker is the latest high-profile journalist to leave the Post, which covers departure of staff in recent months.

New White House team: Scripps News brought together its new White House to cover the second Donald Trump administration. Kelly Meyer, Robert ShermanAnd Libbey Doyen will be the network’s new correspondents in Washington, DC, responsible for covering all news originating from the Oval Office.
Scripps News also increased Liz Landers to the national security correspondent. She will lead the network’s coverage of national security issues, including developments within the intelligence agencies, the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, and other critical areas essential to keeping Americans safe.
