KXAN journalist Ryan Chandler joins NBC News as a correspondent based in Texas.
Chandler is the Austin Texas Capitol correspondent for the Austin, Texas-owned NBC affiliate Nexstar.

“I love the Texas Capitol community and I’m not going anywhere,” Chandler told at mikemcguff.com. “Texas history is a national history – economic, political, cultural and demographic. Texas will lead and experience the political currents of this country more than anyone, and now my job is to tell that story to everyone. I’ll probably be in Austin more than some lawmakers would like.
Chandler joined KXAN in December 2022 after working at KAMC and KLBK in Lubbock.
