Here’s how to watch coverage of the Los Angeles wildfires

Stunning images of Los Angeles wildfires broadcast on television screens Tuesday evening have helped bring attention to the calamity unfolding in Southern California.

Homes and businesses in the path of the fires were reduced to ashes. Their rapid spread was driven by Santa Ana winds, which hit the area with gusts of up to 100 mph. Abandoned vehicles were strewn across the roads as residents sought shelter on foot as many emergency exit routes were blocked by vehicle traffic.

Smoke billowing from the four confirmed fires in Los Angeles is visible for miles, and so far two deaths have been attributed to the fires. Authorities have said the Pacific Palisades fire, in particular, was one of the most destructive in the city’s history.

BREAKING: The Pacific Palisades fire is now the most destructive in Los Angeles city history, with approximately 1,000 structures destroyed.
