BetMGM Names Former Rocket Mortgage Executive Casey Hurbis as Chief Marketing Officer
BetMGM announced today that it has named Casey Hurbis as its marketing director.
Hurbis is the sports betting brand’s first CMO since 2020. He will report to Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost, who served as CMO before becoming CRO of the company.
The new CMO brings more than 30 years of consumer marketing experience to the sports betting brand. He previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Rocket Mortgage, which he joined in 2017. There, he led the company’s in-house marketing agency and marketing strategies, including the launch of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, the world’s largest event. winner of the 2018-19 PGA Tour season. .
Prior to Rocket Mortgage, Hurbis spent more than 20 years leading advertising and communications for FIAT and Alfa Romeo.

Hurbis will also expand its relationship with BetMGM’s creative agency of record (AOR), Highdive. He previously collaborated with the agency on three Super Bowl commercials for Rocket Mortgage, each featuring celebrities such as Tracy Morgan, Anna KendrickAnd Jason Momoa.

With the hiring of Hurbis, BetMGM aims to “accelerate its rapid momentum in the sports betting and iGaming industry,” the company said in a statement. This momentum will be especially important as it will compete with companies like FanDuel and DraftKings.
The company net operating income for the first half amounted to $1 billion, up 6% compared to the first half of 2023.
Founded in 2018, BetMGM has tapped stars like Jamie Foxx and Kevin Garnett for several campaigns and made its mark. Super Bowl debut earlier this year with a spot directed by Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky and Vince Vaughn. It also named Highdive, which was behind its Big Game commercial, as its 2023 creative AOR.
