Allen Media Cuts More Staff at Louisiana Station
Station owned by Allen Media KADN On Tuesday, more employees were laid off in its news department.
Five employees were fired from the Lafayette, Louisiana Fox and NBC affiliate, including anchors Taylor Trache And Jeff Horchak and meteorologist Michael Crowley. Two producers were also fired.
This latest wave comes nearly three months after the station laid off 19 people, including its midday program team, and nine months after Allen Media laid off five others.
Trache has worked at the station since 2016, shortly after graduating from the University of Florida. Horchak had been with the station for nearly four years after working 12 years at KLFY.
According to Bloomberg, Allen Media would have a significant amount of debt and has made late payments to network owners in recent months.
