Alexandra Matcham named vp of content material for NBC Sports activities Philadelphia

Alexandra Matcham was named vice president of content for NBC Sports Philadelphia, while Kelsey Lauder was promoted to director of live events production for NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Matcham will report to the president and general manager of the NBCU Philadelphia Local Richard Harris from Monday October 21. Lauder, who has been responsible for the network’s live event operations for more than six years, will report to Matcham.

Matcham most recently served as coordinating producer for NFL Media. She will lead multi-platform content strategy and production for NBC Sports Philadelphia. In this role, she will oversee live coverage of Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers and Phillies games; studio programming – such as SportsNet Central, Birds Huddle, pre- and post-game shows for the Eagles, Flyers, 76ers and Phillies – and editorial in digital media.

“Alex is an experienced sports media professional who has successfully led high-performing content teams to deliver quality, engaging sports coverage across multiple platforms,” Harris said. “With her passion for sports, award-winning production skills and deep Philadelphia roots, she will make a great leader and a great addition to our already talented and dedicated content team.”

Matcham joins NBC Sports Philadelphia after an 18-year tenure with NFL Media. As coordinating producer, she was responsible for all editorial content and breaking news on the East Coast across television, digital and social platforms, including Good Morning Football, which earned her a Sports Emmy. After joining NFL Media as a producer in 2006, she also spent four years as a senior producer.

Prior to working at NFL Media, Matcham spent two years at Fox Sports South, now Bally Sports South, producing pre- and post-game coverage of the Braves and NFL game broadcasts covering the Falcons, Titans and the Panthers. She began her career as a producer for CNN/SI, the former national sports network.

Lauder has over 14 years of experience in sports production. In her new role, she will manage production and operations of the network’s live games. Previously, Lauder held production roles at MLB Advanced Media and NFL Network.
