Alex Cooper of Call Her Daddy launches his first product

Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast Call Her Daddy, is ready for her next act: entering the drinks space.

Cooper revealed the launch of its hydration drink, called Unwell Hydration, on December 4 at the New York Times DealBook conference. The name is a nod to the podcast network she also runs, called Unwell Nation.

Cooper is working with Nestlé to develop the electrolyte drink. It will be sold at Target and available on January 1st. Retail price will be $2.49 for a 16.9 fl oz bottle and $14.99 for an eight-pack. Unwell Hydration plans to expand to additional retailers in the United States throughout 2025.

To tease the launch, Cooper created a Instagram page leading to his interview at the DealBook conference.

A new drink designed for women

The new beverage line is designed to promote wellness, according to a press release. The drink is meant to be accessible to women “because wellness isn’t about striving for perfection 24/7,” according to the press release. Unwell Hydration is designed to support a healthy lifestyle while celebrating the “chaos” of life.

“When I thought about what could fit under the Unwell umbrella, I wanted to create a consumer product,” Cooper said during a speech at the DealBook conference. “I’ve never put my face next to a product I don’t own. I have intended to be very meticulous about everything I put my name on.

Each bottle of Unwell Hydration is made with natural ingredients and contains over 700 mg of electrolytes, B-complex vitamins and green coffee extract. Unwell Hydration comes in three different flavors: strawberry, orange, hibiscus, and mango-citrus.

The Rise of Celebrity-Endorsed Drinks

Cooper enters a crowded space for celebrity-backed drinks.

Unwell Hydration will compete with Prime, a similar hydration drink backed by influencers Logan Paul and KSI.

Blake Lively owns Betty Booze, a drink mixers link. And George Clooney sold his Casamigos tequila brand to Diageo for $1 billion in 2017.

Alcohol could also be next for Cooper. Business Insider reports that his company recently filed a trademark application for a product called Popular Vodka by Unwell.
