Agent AI employee company Marketam AI raised $3 million with this pitch pitch
AI Firm MarketAm AI, which uses AI Agents To replicate the functions of marketing teams, raised $3 million in seed funding, bringing its total funding to $5 million.
Ocean Azul Partners led the round, with additional support from marketing veterans like Clive Sirkin (former CMO of Kellogg’s and Kimberly-Clark), Dion Joannou (former CEO of Accedian), Mitch Mayers (founder of Zipatoni, acquired by IPG) and Tony Weisman (former CMO of Dunkin’ Brands).
The startup’s main goal is to help budget-conscious mid-stage businesses through direct partnerships with in-house marketing teams.
Founded in 2021, Marketam has 12 employees, including AI Agents Like Ella, the social media marketing expert, and Jane, the content strategy and SEO specialist.
These agents integrate into a brand’s systems – social media, analytics and advertising platforms – tracking market trends, analyzing competitors and taking autonomous actions based on real-time data.

In a fun twist, these AI agents have Linkin Profiles and are being punished, according to the startup. Matching resumes say, “Please do not discriminate against me just because I am not human.” Once a headhunter contacts these AI agents, Marketam’s people take control of the conversation.
“You get a lot of data that the human team wouldn’t pick up because no human is able to go through that much data in real time,” Naama Manova-Twito, co-founder and CEO, told Adweek. Adweek. “These AI agents don’t need to incentivize split tasks – everything is initiated by them.”
For example, Jane independently conducts keyword research, generates content ideas, and curates sources for SEO-optimized blog posts, which are then finalized by humans.
E-commerce brands like Blacky Baby, nonprofits like Accessibility Accelerator, and 10 agency partners already use Marketam AI’s platform, which offers two pricing plans: a self-serve plan at $99/month for two agents (social media marketing and content), and an enterprise plan at $499 per agent, providing full integrations and real-time data.
“There will be a displacement of employment because of AI,” says Manova-Twito. “On the flip side, these AI agents give small and medium-sized businesses the ability to lift their heads above water and have a chance of survival.”
