How the media covered the Washington, DC plane accident
Wednesday evening, the media was launched in the news mode when a flight from American Airlines collided with a military helicopter over the Potomac river while approaching the national airport of Reagan to Washington, DC
Since Thursday morning, civil servants indicated that there are no survivors of the horrible incident. 64 people were aboard the American Eagle Flight 5342 plane and while the Black Hawk helicopter wore three soldiers.
The collision is likely be the most deadly aviation accident in the United States Since Colgan’s air collision in February 2009. This tragedy has occurred outside Buffalo, New York, and has left 50 deaths.
CNN was the first network to report the DC collision, with Kaitlan Collins Announces the news at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. (All the time is.) Collins immediately brought the CNN aviation correspondent Pete Muntean in the waves to provide additional information.
The network continued to roll the cover for the rest of the night, with Laura Coates Co-hosting his program at 11 p.m. on site near the collision scene.
