Revolving Door Roundup: NBC News and CNN Name New Teams to the White House and Capitol Hill
New president, new team: NBC News has announced the political team that will cover the next four years of Donald Trumpsecond administration. Pierre Alexandre will continue to serve as chief White House correspondent, while Garrett Haake joined as senior White House correspondent, and Yamiche Alcindor And Vaughn Hillyard leave the campaign trail to become White House correspondents. Kelly O’Donnell And Gabe Gutierrez are set to continue their roles as senior correspondents at the White House, while Monica Alba And Aaron Gilchrist remain White House correspondents.
Moving from the White House to Capitol Hill, Ryan Nobles becomes chief Capitol Hill correspondent, with Scott Wong And Julie Tsirkin accompanying him as senior congressional reporter and Capitol Hill correspondent respectively.
On the digital level, Pierre Nicolas is set to serve as NBC News senior White House reporter, while Catherine Doyle will be the White House reporter. After following Trump during the election campaign, Henry Gomez, Matt DixonAnd Jon Allen will now cover its administration, and Sahil Kapur will be on the Capitol beat as a senior national political reporter.

CNN also revealed its new DC team ahead of Inauguration Day. Kaitlan Collins—who had already been named chief White House correspondent– will lead the troops and continue to host his 9 p.m. show. Kristen Holmes is the network’s new senior White House correspondent, while Kevin Liptak is a senior reporter at the White House, Alayna Treene will serve as a reporter covering the White House, and Betsy Klein will be the network’s senior White House producer.
Meanwhile, Chief National Affairs Correspondent Jeff Zeleny will be on the White House beat focusing specifically on the impact of its policies on the nation. Presenter and chief national correspondent Phil Mattingly And corresponding Priscilla Alvarez will exclusively cover the new administration’s immigration policies.
On Capitol Hill, Manu Raju will continue his work as presenter and chief congressional correspondent, while Lauren Fox serves as correspondent to Congress, and Annie Grayer And Sarah Ferris will cover the latest developments as congressional reporters.
Kaitlan Collins will be CNN’s chief White House correspondent.
Ready for prime time: NewsNation has revealed a new primetime lineup that begins Monday, February 10. In balance with Leland Vittert takes the 9 p.m. slot Dan Abrams recently released, while Elisabeth Vargas Reports occupy the 7 p.m. spot with Vargas reaching a new multi-year deal with the network. The rest of NewsNation’s evening lineup remains the same.
On call at ABC: ABC News has found a new doctor to make house calls. Dr. Tara Narula has been named the network’s chief medical correspondent and will report on health and wellness news across ABC News programs and platforms. Narula more recently was a medical correspondent for CNNand previously worked at CBS News as a senior medical correspondent.

Back in the fold: CBS News hosts return of former president and senior executive producer Susan Zirinsky in a newly created interim editor-in-chief position. In this role, she will oversee the network’s editorial standards, which have come under intense scrutiny in recent months, including following a controversial interview between Tony Dokoupil and author Ta-Nehisi Coates in October.
Crossing the Atlantic: Newly joined MSNBC anchor Morning Joe Jonathan Lemire takes on additional responsibilities as a contributing editor for The Atlantic. Lemire will focus on the White House and national politics for the magazine and website.

New NBC Hires: Colleen Long joins NBC News Digital as senior business editor starting January 27. Long previously served as a White House correspondent with the Associated Press, focusing on domestic policy issues including immigration and law enforcement. In addition, Hayley Cuccinello has joined CNBC’s Inside Wealth vertical as a reporter covering family offices and investing trends for high net worth individuals. She previously covered wealth management and the cultivation of wealth for Business Insider.
