The Knot Worldwide names former Etsy CMO Raina Moskowitz as CEO
Today (December 5), wedding planning brand The knot all over the world announced the appointment of Raina Moskowitz as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She will succeed former CEO and founder Tim Chi, effective January 21, 2025.
Moskowitz is the latest chief marketing officer (CMO) to ascend to the CEO position. She joins us from Etsy, where she served as Director of Operations and Marketing since January. She first joined the DIY market in April 2018 and held senior roles within its strategy and operations team before working her way up to Marketing Director.
Following his departure, Etsy Chief Brand Officer Brad Minor will take on the role of CMO, the company announced today.
At Etsy, Moskowitz shaped the company’s marketing strategy and drove global growth by expanding awareness and building customer trust and loyalty. She launched innovative products, championed small businesses, and championed talent development.

Chi founded WeddingWire in 2005 to make the wedding planning process less stressful after planning her own. The company merged with XO Group Inc. in 2018 and was renamed The Knot Worldwide. He was then named CEO of the company the following year.
