Boston Station Helps TikTok Video Go Viral After Accidentally Recording Zendaya
Zendaya accidentally does its part to increase local television viewership.
ABC Affiliate in Boston WCVB accidentally captured B-roll footage of the Hollywood star walking around town with her mother. The clip was broadcast on the 6 p.m. news on Sunday, without anyone at the station noticing.
Resident of Topsfield, Massachusetts Chloe Mitchell saw the footage, recognized the mega star and posted a video of the video to TikTok.
“We were watching Channel 5 and noticed Zendaya was on screen and I was like ‘wait, what?’ Mitchell told the station.
The video has been viewed more than 532,000 times as of Wednesday morning.
The station said it recorded the celebrity sighting “completely by accident” during the Newbury Street holiday walk at the weekend.
Zendaya is in Boston filming a new romance film called The Drama with her co-star Robert Pattinson.
